THE HUDDLESTON CENTRE WINS SANTANDER GROWTH AWARD
We are pleased to announce that we have received a Santander award of £5,000 to fund refurbishment of our Computer Room!
We will be using the award to help develop this space so that it can be utilised as an asset to Centre programs, expanding the number of children and young people we help in Hackney.
We have been named as one of the winners of Santander’s Social Enterprise Development Awards (SEDA) which supports social enterprises and trading charities looking to grow their business and improve their local community. The annual award scheme has awarded 101 social ventures across the UK this year with funding of almost £1million.
Steve Pateman, Head of UK Banking at Santander, said: “SEDA was set up to help social ventures with the potential to grow and we’re delighted to be able to support The Huddleston Centre and the valuable work they do in their community. Our congratulations go to them and all the 2015 winners.”
Alongside the prize money, we will have access to a business support package from Santander which includes business webinars, funded internships and networking events to meet with other social entrepreneurs in the region.

Double donations in July!

We’re gearing up for The Huddleston Fete!
Our silent auction is growing by the day, with prizes including:
– A family ticket to the Hackney Empire panto Jack & The Beanstalk
– An adult double pass to Hackney Picturehouse
– A dance lesson for 2 with Swing Patrol, a bottle of prosecco and entry to see the live band at the Cakewalk Cafe @ Passing Clouds

The Huddleston Centre has been selected as one of 22 charity partners for The Summer Give, run by the Childhood Trust and The Big Give.
If you donate as part of the Summer Give, your gift to The Huddleston Centre can be doubled!
The Summer Give will run from 12 noon June 1st – 5pm June 5th, so make sure you get in fast!
You will be helping London’s most disadvantaged children when they are most vulnerabe, during school holidays.
